Inviting The Bot

The easiest way to get started with Pylon is to add a guild. This process involves inviting the Pylon bot to your Discord guild. Other administrators of your guild (given they have the "Manage Server" permission) can link the guild to their Pylon account too via the same process.

Step 1. Log in to Pylon

Log in to Pylon by visiting the homepage and hitting the "Join the Beta" button. While Pylon is in Beta, you'll need to join our Discord server to get access. Once you've joined the Discord server, you can start using Pylon. We'll lift this restriction once Pylon hits general availability.

Step 1. Click "+ Add Guild"

After logging in, you are greeted with the Pylon Studio Dashboard. From here, you can begin to add a guild to your account.

Step 2. Choose a Discord guild

You'll be presented with a list of Discord guilds you have appropriate permissions to. If you don't see a guild, or it is greyed out, ensure you have at least "Manage Server" permissions

Step 3. Authorize the Pylon Application

Follow through with the Discord OAuth2 flow to add the bot to your guild.

Note: If you don't want to grant Pylon the "Administrator" permission, or if you are not the guild owner/have appropriate permissions, you can manually add a role to the Pylon bot to assign permissions after adding it to your guild.

Step 4. Start using Pylon!

To open the online code editor, click "Open Code Editor" for the Default Script. Soon, we'll allow guild admins to add multiple scripts to their guild. Pylon usage statistics for the past week are shown at the top of the guild's dashboard page.
